X is rolling out support for 4K video uploads

X is now allowing selected creators to upload videos to 4K resolution as it tries to promote engagement and prevent users from going to YouTube or Vimeo to watch videos. According to a post, this feature will soon be available to all premium users X’s Engineering Account.

So far, consumer payment 1080p videos can upload 8GB size and about three hours in length. X’s Support Page. But with the support of the 4K resolution uploads, the platform can change the size range for users.

Ever since Elon Musk has purchased the company, X has been trying to persuade users to post more video content, which has gradually increased the upload range for users.

The platform also developed a dedicated feed for vertical videos, which was filled with a shortcut on the homepage of its mobile apps earlier this year, trying to benefit the uncertainty of the telt in the United States.
