Ukraine approved three Chinese companies on Friday, a day after President Wolodmeer Zillsky accused China of supplying weapons to Russia – Beijing has denied a charge.
The sanctions mean that companies will not be able to do business with Ukraine and that any assets they have in the country will be frozen.
Zillski announced sanctions on Aeronautics firm, Beijing Aviation and Aerospace Zhiangi Technology Company Limited, and two industrial component companies – Rui Jin Machinery Company Limited, and Zongfo Shening Carbon Fiber Xening Company Limited – all registered in China.
